Challenges of an ageing society can be effectively addressed by applying the results of IT. This is not a recent interpretation and may not be the most optimal solution for the individual, but during the pandemic societies have experienced the importance and necessity of IT supporting healthcare activities, thus it is expected that the level of acceptance of such IT supported solutions will increase.
IT systems we have been developing for years are:
- telemedicine
- robotized care
- artificial intelligence-based analytical systems
These systems are suitable both to support independent living for elderly persons and to facilitate rehabilitation or home care for chronically ill patients.
